
Nurse Practitioner Preceptor AIM
Overview
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner Preceptor AIM (Advanced Illness Management) to join our team. This position will directly report to theVP of Palliative Clinicaland is responsible forproviding high quality interactions and training with newly hired or tenured NPs during palliative care/AIM visits across the Palliative division, specifically our Dallas/Plano, TX branch.
Facilitates the learning experience to allow preceptees to perform competently in their required responsibilities. This is achieved through mentoring, coaching, and role modeling correct behaviors.
Performs patient home visits as needed
Orients new or trains tenured NPs (preceptees) which includes palliative clinical policies and procedures, documentation, value-based required patient outcomes, technology, and compliance and regulatory requirements.
Performs ongoing metric monitoring to provide ongoing coaching and feedback directly or indirectly with preceptees.
About You
Advanced Practice Practitioner required
Unencumbered NP and RN license in work state(s) assigned
Active DEA license
Current CPR certification
Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical setting - hospice or palliative care experience preferred
Experienced in part B documentation requirements
