We’re looking for a Medical Coder to join our team.
You will directly report to Billing Manager. You will be responsible for conducting coding activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Identifies actual or possible coding errors by review of diagnosis lists.
Recognizes diagnoses documented within medical records other than from a diagnosis list.
Demonstrates accurate coding practices and excellent customer service skills to assist branches with hospice diagnosis coding.
Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and Coding Conventions
Ability to find and confirm diagnosis codes using a coding manual or established electronic ICD-10 database
Ability to educate and train others on coding guidelines
Desired: Four years recent full-time ICD-10-CM coding in home health or hospice
Considered: Two years or less recent of full-time ICD-10-CM coding for home health or hospice
